Prepare your Skin Now for Cooler Weather

Grace O’Sullivan – Sep 23

While it may still be warm outside, it’s time to prepare your skin for the cooler months. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on expensive beauty products, but you should take the time to cleanse and moisturize your skin daily with clean, nutrient-rich products. This will prevent your skin from becoming dehydrated and prone to damage in the months to come.

Cold weather can be especially harsh on the skin. The low humidity in the air causes the skin to be dry, stripping it of moisture. In addition, harsh winter winds can aggravate the dryness in skin, worsening existing conditions. If you have psoriasis or eczema, this time of the year can cause your symptoms to worsen. By adjusting your skincare routine now, you can help prevent these skin ailments later.

Even if you have normal skin, whether you choose to stay indoors or play outside in the winter, conditions can be harsh on your largest organ. Preparing your skin for cold weather now will prevent dry skin, chapped lips, and other problems.
